Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Howdy!

If you couldn’t guess from the title, I’ve got some exciting news! The sequel to my book The Rise of Aredor is getting published!! The sequel, The Wildcat of Braeton, will primarily follow Aiden, (one of the secondary characters from the first book) and his own return home. We’ll also see more of Corin (the main protagonist from the first) and mostly the same cast of characters as before.

I’ve thrown together a little synopsis. It’s really not much but it’s a start on the official synopsis to come.

His term of service to Lord Rishdah complete, Aiden returns to his home in Braeton. As he travels, he hears rumors that trouble plague Braeton. Clan Canich is being attacked from within. He arrives, determined to make peace with his father and see the rightful rule restored.

A year has passed since the Calorins were driven from Aredor and Corin is struggling to rebuild his country. Despite the peace, a fear haunts him that the Calorins aren’t far away. The Hawk Flight takes to the forest again to defend the borders against a possible attack from the neighboring country of Durna.

As both Aiden and Corin struggle to adapt to their new lives there is one thing they know for certain: war is coming to the North.

Dun Dun Dunnnnn!!! I’m just a little excited about this. I finally have an answer for everyone who’s been pestering me about the sequel. This should make people happy. Aiden also seems to be a fan favorite, so this is great all the way around. Stay tuned in to the blog and my facebook page. I’ll be posting status updates as I move through the publishing process.

Happy Monday! 🙂
