Howdy!
Today I’m helping an awesome blogger friend out with her newest release, Twinepathy! It’s a superhero story and who doesn’t love a good superhero story? Before we get to the interview, here’s a little bit about C.B. Cook’s new book!
Albany York has a secret.
Albany and her twin sister, Brooklyn, have spent years successfully hiding their telepathic connection. But when a girl falls unconscious at their doorstep, the girls learn that they might not be the only people in the world with extraordinary powers and that a memory thief is on the loose. As the twins try to help the girl find her memories, they discover that the superhero world might be bigger—and more dangerous—than they ever imagined.
Amazon! Goodreads!
And now to the interview!
Who was the first character from Twinepathy that appeared and asked you to tell their story?
That would have to be Albany. The whole story was based off of the twins, and they’re the ones who are guiding us into this strange organization. But ever since I’ve created Jen, she’s been bugging me about her story, which is a pretty cool one.
Neat! You’ve got to watch those secondary characters. They can be quite insistent about their own stories. 😉 Now I recall from reading a bit of the story on your blog that some of it takes place in Antarctica. Can we expect cuddly penguins?
Hehe, penguins are mentioned, but they don’t play too big of a role. And no penguins were harmed in this book, either.
Hehe! If you had superpowers, what would your powers and code name be?
My powers would be the ability to change my phase, even if it’s just phasing through objects, because that’s really great for fighting (no one can hit you… I mean, Vision in Civil War, anyone?) and it would just be lot’s of fun to run through walls. My code name would probably be Mist. Can you tell I’ve given this lots of thought? 🙂
Haha! Phasing would be a ton of fun! What is the craziest thing you researched for Twinepathy?
Hmm… It might not be the strangest thing, but I did Google searches with my character names so I could give Albany realistic search results when she was googling them. That was pretty interesting.
Can imagine it would be! How many books do you think will be in the IDIA series?
Oooh, that’s hard to stay. Three, for sure, possibly more. Hopefully more! I really love these characters, so this might turn into a longer series. I also have a few ideas for some prequel stories and at least one spin-off book. We’ll see!
ALL of the books! Nothing wrong with that. 🙂 What is your favorite superhero book or movie?
Toughest question ever! 🙂 Favorite superhero book is probably Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson (still need the rest of that series!), and my favorite superhero movie… I have to go with Captain America: Civil War, just because of those feels. And awesome characters like Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch.
Steelheart is EPIC! And yeah, I’m obsessed with Civil War. Ant Man and Scarlet Witch are pretty awesome! 🙂 Thanks for coming over, C.B. and sharing a bit about your book! Can’t wait to read it!

Hehe! I’m team cap all the way. 🙂 But yeah, it was a pretty awesome movie. I can’t wait until it comes out on DVD. That movie made me officially obsessed with Captain America and really fond of Bucky and his story.
